Midmar Mile held in Kwazulu Natal South Africa, is the world's largest open water swimming event. The distance covered is always a mile, 13000 swimmers, 8 batches over 2 days, 2 minute intervals. Midmar Mile draws thousands of competitors each year both serious international athletes and Olympic medallists to recreational swimmers.

Just Keep Swimming! As long as thee's OPEN WATER we see NO NEED for any other source of THRILLS or ADRENALINE. I can't fly, but swimming is the next best thing. Its harmony and balance. The water is my sky. The stress of EVERYDAY LIFE and WORK PRESSURES are gone. The only thing is the ADRENALINE the ENERGY and your NEXT STROKE. Its not just the start of a race.
