Our flagship program called “Ann Suraksha Abhiyan” was launched at Freedom Park, Bangalore. This
program is to create awareness on importance of food for all living beings & also disadvantages of
wasting food. Further how this can help needy ones get food to eat is strongly demonstrated. This is
open for all the members of any community. Under this program, we emphasize to all people, the need
of not to waste food and disadvantages of this. We make sure people take oath on not wasting food at
Restaurants, functions, home or anywhere by filling a simple confirmation form and submitting that to
us. We put a stall under this program at all major functions, social gatherings, rallies of our community
and make sure majority people take this oath and abide by this. We give a gift as a token of appreciation
to all those who have taken oath. As of today, 4,500 people have taken the oath under this program and
our target is to reach 10,000 people by 2017. In future, our focus is to implement this program at a State
level and then at National level with the help of Government/NGO/NPO’s.
