Gatekeeper authenticates third-party application using your device as identity.
Gatekeeper is mobile login system. One needs to create an account with Gatekeeper using mobile application where identity like email, the phone needs to be validated with the device that user has. Once authenticated, an account with Gatekeeper is created which can be used when login to third-party applications.
Any third party applications can register with Gatekeeper and use login with Gatekeeper in their web applications. When the request from third-party applications to log in is received, the user on his device needs to approve the authentication to log in to the application.
