M-OncoEd

The M-OncoEd tool has been developed in collaboration with the key institutions that launched the cancer screening medical education curriculum in Kerala, including RTI International, Regional Cancer Centre ,Sree Gokulum Medical College Venjaramoodu, Government Medical College Thiruvananthapuram , Kerala State Government Directorate of Health Services, Indian Medical Association, Snehita Women’s Health Foundation, and the World Health Organization IARC. In addition, a multidisciplinary team of researchers and organizations have come together to build the application. As an independent, non profit research institute, RTI International had decades of experience creating open-sourced, mobile applications before joining the M-OncoEd team. ZOVOZ, a small, socially responsible enterprise, was instrumental in helping to create the application. Snehita Women’s Health Foundation, with support from Sree Gokulum Medical College and the Government Medical College Thiruvananthapuram, acted as the project’s evaluation partner. The Indian Medical Association (IMA), Kerala Branch, and State Government Directorate of Health are helping to implement the intervention. The World Health Organization’s International Agency for Research on Cancer (WHO-IARC) is providing oncology training materials.
