Deportivo Mictlan of Guatemala was born in early 1989 from the category "C" (current Second Division), with a small team composed mostly of players from Asuncion Mita and surrounding areas throughout the Department of Jutiapa.
In 2010 gets its ascent defeating the sports Sacachispas and this climb their way into the final stages of the Apertura 2013 tournament, being defeated by the Club Comunicaciones (Guatemala), with 2010 the only year that the sports Mictlan was not in danger descent during this promotion.
