The objective is to empty the entire board except for the central solitary pawn. To eat a pawn, you have to jump a pawn over an adjacent pawn. The originality of this solitary is that there are two types of pawn, and the possibility of crossing the edge. A pawn can only be eaten by a pawn of its type. To change the type of pawn, repeat the eating movement.
