G1 is a healthcare application that leverages modern day technology to make critical care available at a lightning speed. One of the most important factor during an emergency is time, every second, every moment counts and this possibly determines your next steps and eventually the results.
In India on an average it take approximately 20 minutes for any emergency service to reach a person in need and 20 minutes is a lot of time. There are multiple factors that account to these 20 minutes and here are a few.
1. Calling the emergency services: There are a ton of service providers and all have different phone numbers. You do not know which service provider is near you , who is available, will your call be answered at all, do you remember the correct phone number.
2. Correct Location: If all goes well in the first step, how sure are you that you have pin pointed your location and that the person on the other side has your exact location.
3. Traffic: now assuming all is done perfectly in step 1 and 2, there is a high possibility that the team dispatched to deliver care to you is stuck in traffic as there is no way to guide them to your location.
4. Who are you: The team that has arrived at your location has no clue about what they are dealing with except for the current condition.
5. Communication gap: There can be enormous amount of misunderstanding particularly during an emergency and may lead to unnecessary delays.
How does G1 solve all these problems. At G1 we intend to bring the response time down to a maximum of 5 minutes.
