Sri Vishnu Sahasranam Strot is composed of verses containing the 1000 names of Lord Sri Vishnu. This entire compiling was written by Saint Vyasa Muni after the Mahabharata war.
Every name of Sri Vishnu has a divine meaning and reciting it helps in the cleansing and purification of mind, body and soul. Eventually, it leads to path of spirituality. Lord Vishnu is believed to control all the planets in the universe and therefore the chanting of Vishnu Sahasranam verses is believed to remove ill influences of these planets.
