Our application’s name is Cli-Mates. The purpose of Cli-Mates is to solve the problem of climate change. This is a problem to address not only in our community (though it heavily impacts our community) but the world. Our app plays a video we created teaching you about climate change and letting you know the facts. Next, you take a questionnaire about your actions during the day. After that we will explain to you why your actions were environmentally friendly or not. Finally, you can connect to Google
Play Games, which is what makes our app special because you can compete with your mates to be the best cli-mate! Climate Change is a real problem. As the result of our actions, sea levels are rising, and ice is melting. Could you imagine an Arctic without ice? Well, by 2040 (less than 30 years away) that can happen. Knowledge is power and we give that to our users. Except the power we arm them with can change the world.
