This game has a more realistic exploration system. Each town has several areas that can be explored, and the time required to explore each area is different. The number of weapons has increased compared to the previous game, and three traps have been added at the same time. The trap can trap zombies, and the mines and gas bottles can detonate and cause huge damage.
　　 The player’s goal is to collect fuel in various cities to move between cities, reach Union City within 40 days, and then escape from the United States through the Union City Airport. (But according to the dead zone's story clues, the evacuation only lasted 17 days)
