Mystery Introduction:
The evening came to an end at the inn. The bartender went home, and the innkeeper closed up. He put up the “No vacancies” sign and barred the doors. The night went by with relative quietness.
No one departed, as indicated by the fact that the doors were still barred in the morning. But, as the sun crept through the windows, the Queen’s Guard’s body lay dead in the hall.
