The mission of Opportunity House is to build relationships with our neighbors though educational Programs, employment avenues and spiritual growth which ultimately lead to a relationship with Jesus Christ.
The Opportunity House Shelby is a non-profit ministry simply seeking relationship with anyone and everyone in need, meaning anyone who lives on the margins of society such as those who are homeless or impoverished. We look to build relationships across all socio-economic boundaries leading to discipleship of Jesus Christ.
We work with anyone who needs help, our philosophy being “we can’t do everything but we can at least do something.” Assistance can be in the form of clothing, financial help, food, a ride to a doctor’s office or simply a caring ear.
